President Trump ripped 2020 Democrat Michael Bloomberg for his performance during the latest presidential primary debate.
Bloomberg, who was one of six presidential candidates to qualify for Wednesday night’s Democratic debate, received significant backlash from his opponents on a litany of issues. He was met with poor reviews following his performance, with White House counselor Kellyanne Conway saying he should fire his staffers.
The president also weighed in on Twitter Thursday morning, writing, “Mini Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance tonight was perhaps the worst in the history of debates, and there have been some really bad ones. He was stumbling, bumbling and grossly incompetent. If this doesn’t knock him out of the race, nothing will. Not so easy to do what I did!”

Trump has repeatedly exchanged blows with the former New York City mayor. On social media specifically, he has criticized Bloomberg six times this month, each time referring to the presidential candidate as “Mini Mike.” The president, on the morning of the debate, also tweeted, “Is corrupt Bloomberg News going to say what a pathetic debater Mini Mike is…[?]”
During the debate, Bloomberg was forced to defend his wealth and his record on race, as well as numerous allegations of sexual harassment.
