Iran intends to restart nuclear program, nuclear official vows

An Iranian government official said the country had “taken the necessary measures” to ensure it could continue its nuclear program following U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on its facilities.

“We have taken the necessary measures and are taking stock of the damage” caused by the strikes, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, said in a statement aired on state television on Tuesday.
