The U.S. Central Command said Operation Epic Fury has deteriorated Iran‘s ability to threaten oil tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz with several targeted strikes this week.

Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, said in a Saturday morning update that the United States remains “zeroed in” on breaking down Iran’s threat to choke off the crucial oil shipping waterway. The U.S. “dropped multiple 5000-pound bombs” on an Iranian facility used to disrupt transit in the Strait of Hormuz.
