Army reviewing video of Apache helicopter hovering outside Kid Rock’s home

The Army is investigating a video shared by Kid Rock that appears to show an Apache attack helicopter hovering outside the musician’s home.

Kid Rock posted a video to social media on Saturday that shows a helicopter hovering outside his porch as he claps and then salutes.

“This is a level of respect that s*** for brains Governor of California will never know,” the caption read, referring to Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA). “God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”

Army spokesman Maj. Montrell Russell said in a statement that the Army would be reviewing the circumstances shown in the video and “verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements.” Russell added that the Army will take action if any violations have occurred.

“The Army is aware of a video circulating online that appears to show AH‑64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence in the Nashville area,” Russell said, adding that pilots are expected to follow strict safety standards and established flight regulations while maintaining a level of professionalism.

Military helicopters, including the AH-64 Apache, are sometimes used in training exercises that can involve low-altitude maneuvers. However, flights near residential areas can draw scrutiny and raise questions about safety and intent.

The Army did not say whether the helicopter was conducting a training mission, a transit flight, or another type of operation.

Kid Rock has regained popularity for his outspoken political views supporting President Donald Trump and ties to prominent figures in the Trump administration, such as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The pair appeared in a video together promoting the “Make America Healthy Again” initiative.

He also made an appearance at the 2024 Republican National Convention and performed the alternative Super Bowl 2026 halftime show hosted by Turning Point USA.
