RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Community college leaders who say federal policies have undervalued their role are banding together to fight for changes.
Virginia Community College System Chancellor Glenn DuBois and his counterparts in Louisiana, North Carolina and Indiana have formed Rebuilding the Middle Class. It plans to raise money and hire lobbyists to promote the interests of community colleges. The group held its first meeting in Indianapolis last week.
