Two local students win national scholarship

Two students at Friendship Collegiate Academy won Posse scholarships — highly competitive four-year, full-tuition scholarships.

Adrian Bowie and Benjamin Bulluck were among the 560 students selected out of a pool of 14,000 and will attend Sewanee: The University of the South and Lafayette College, respectively. The program is run as a partnership between the Posse Foundation and a number of colleges.

A Friendship Public Charter School, Friendship Collegiate Academy has a 95-percent graduation rate, and 100 percent of the graduating class is accepted to college, according to a statement from the school.
