Prince George’s police are investigating three separate incidents that left three dead in less than six hours Saturday night.
It began Saturday evening at 6:41 p.m. when a man was shot in the 1400 block of Kanawha Street in Langley Park. Arriving on the scene, officers discovered the victim was already dead.
It continued at 8:39 p.m., when a tow truck hit and killed a woman at Riggs Road and University Boulevard, also in the Langley Park area. the tow truck driver stayed at the scene. Police are searching for a second vehicle that may have also struck the pedestrian before fleeing the scene: an older model, four-door Toyota.
Then, at 12:19 a.m., police responded to the death of a pedestrian during an attemped robbery. It appears the death was accidental, as masked suspects with handguns asked people to lie on the ground in the 1200 block of Oates Street, and a driver — who police say may have been startled — ran over one of those people.
Police have not released the names of victims, and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the perpetrators. Those with knowledge of the incidents can remain anonymous but are asked to call 1-866-411-TIPS.
