Two District public elementary schools are closed Friday due to power outages, officials said.
The closed schools are Garrison Elementary School, located near the U Street and Shaw Metro stations, and Shepherd Elementary School, located near the District’s border with Silver Spring.
All other D.C. public schools are open as scheduled.
