Sheldon Caplis, regional director of community relations for the Citi financial services company, has been appointed to the board of trustees for the Community College of Baltimore County. Caplis, a Pikesville resident, has served as vice president for institutional advancement at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and held several positions at the University of Baltimore. While Caplis was at UMBC, the school completed a seven-year, $66 million fundraising campaign that exceeded its goal by $16 million.
