Thousands of drivers in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties have been ignoring stopped school buses, according to a survey by the Maryland State Department of Education. More than 1,600 drivers bypassed stopped school buses in Montgomery County on a single day in February, for the second-highest in the state, according to the survey.
