Senate Democrats to talk climate change in Monday filibuster

Published March 7, 2014 12:00am ET

Green eggs and ham isn’t on the menu this time around. Instead, senators holding the floor for all of Monday and into Tuesday morning will serve up a heaping dose of climate change.

Senate Democrats will control the floor for an all-night session on climate change, according to a statement from Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif. In all, 28 Democrats, including Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Majority Whip Dick Durbin, D-Ill., will participate in the event, which will end around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
