Interior Secretary Sally Jewell dogged by Teddy Roosevelt impersonator

SALT LAKE CITY — Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell is set to address the 4,000-member Outdoor Industry Association ahead of a big trade show in Salt Lake City for outdoor gear makers.

As Jewell wraps up her speech, an impersonator playing the role of Theodore Roosevelt — a president who championed conservation — says he will join her on stage.

Adam Lindquist has dogged Jewell at other events, and press aides say Jewell — a big fan of Roosevelt — knows what to expect.

Lindquist is making his appearance on behalf of a citizens’ federation called Environment America.

Jewell is on familiar ground for her breakfast keynote speech Wednesday for the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market.

The British-born American businesswoman headed retailer Recreational Equipment Inc. for more than a decade before joining President Obama’s cabinet last year.
