Social Security update: January direct payment worth $943 goes out in 18 days

In 18 days, January’s Supplemental Security Income check will be sent out to eligible recipients, with the payments worth up to $943 for individual filers.

The Social Security Administration will issue SSI payments to eligible citizens on Dec. 31.
