Along with April and December, September is the most lucrative month for the SSI program. January, May, and October see no payments, while the rest result in just a single $841 payment.

The $1,682 amount is only for single recipients, however. Each payment for couples is $1,261, while a stipend of $421 is given to those living with or providing for SSI beneficiaries.
