Kristina Wong of The Hill reports that:
Officials in Washington are increasingly worried that Russia is preparing to invade Ukraine.
A convoy of nearly 300 trucks is on the move from Russia toward the Ukraine border. They are carrying, according to the Russians, humanitarian supplies. The administration in Washington fears a ruse and:
… NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen warned Monday that there was a “high probability” Russian forces could begin marching across the border.
When asked if the Russians might actually be conducting an invasion, Marie Harf, a State Department press briefer, answered:
“Well, we don’t know.”
An honest answer, anyway.
