Obama: GOP ‘scared of orphans and widows’

President Obama went on the attack against Republicans Tuesday from the Philippines, saying that they are “scared of widows and orphans coming into the United States of America.”

In a joint press conference with Philippine president Benigno Aquino, Obama alluded to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Tx, calling out unfair questions by CNBC moderators and Gov. Chris Christie, R-NJ, saying that his state would not accept even young orphan refugees — because they would be lost without familiar adult supervision.
