The United Nations Security Council is voting on a resolution for President Joe Biden’s new ceasefire deal, calling on Hamas to accept the three-phase plan.
In comments before the vote, United States Deputy Ambassador to the U.N. Robert Wood called the resolution “the best, most realistic opportunity to bring at least a temporary halt to this war.” Hamas has allegedly said it views the proposal “positively.”
