Trump gives ‘last warning’ for Hamas to release its hostages

President Donald Trump said Sunday it is time for Hamas to accept his terms to end its war with Israel, saying he is not giving the terrorist group another chance after this.

The war between Israel and Hamas is one of several conflicts Trump is seeking to end as president. Trump held a meeting with his advisers last month to discuss plans for Gaza once the war is over.

The president renewed his call for Hamas to end the war, saying on Truth Social that “everyone” wants the terrorist group’s hostages released and returned home.

“Everyone wants this War to end! The Israelis have accepted my Terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well. I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning, there will not be another one! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump said.

The White House shared Trump’s statement on its X account.

The Israel Defense Forces issued an evacuation order for Gaza City as it prepares to seize the location. The IDF is expecting roughly 200,000 Palestinians to defy the evacuation order, about 20% of the current population.

Israel launched an airstrike on Aug. 30 on a building in Gaza City, saying the target was a high-ranking Hamas member. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the operation was successful and identified the target as Hamas spokesman Hudayfa Samir Abdallah al Kahlout.
