VIDEO: Obama to announce plan to fight Ebola

President Obama will announce the U.S. plan to help fight the spread of Ebola virus in West Africa Tuesday afternoon when he visits the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

The plan will call for $763 million over six months — adding to an existing $175 million that has been allocated to fight Ebola, according to media reports.

Obama’s plan includes training up to 500 healthcare workers a week, construction of up to 17 healthcare facilities with 100 beds each, and the distribution of home healthcare kits.

About 3000 U.S. military personnel will be in West Africa to lead the project.
