VIDEO — Ebola showdown: Nurse to fight Maine quarantine

Kaci Hickox, the nurse who was put under mandatory quarantine over the weekend in New Jersey, has returned home to Maine, however she isn’t planning on obeying the state’s mandatory quarantine procedures.

Hickox said Wednesday during an interview on NBC’s “Today Show” that she isn’t planning on following Maine’s quarantine procedures that would keep her in her home through Nov. 10. Instead, she is planning to file legal action against the state by Thursday morning if the quarantine isn’t lifted.

Hickox has insisted she is Ebola-free and doesn’t have any of the symptoms of the deadly virus, however when she returned to the United States late last week, she was running a fever.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie appeared on “Today Show” Tuesday morning and defended his state’s policies. New Jersey and New York have been widely criticized for its mandatory quarantine policies over the past week.
