Sanders delegate says single-payer will help supporters making death threats

A delegate for Bernie Sanders believes the death threats that the senator’s supporters have reportedly sent members of the Nevada State Democratic Party are a good example of why America needs single-payer healthcare system.

Nevada Sanders delegate Angie Morelli added in her remarks to MSNBC Wednesday that the alleged death threats show that the country needs do more to address mental health issues.

“The death threats are super unfortunate,” she said.

“I completely agree that’s not something that should happen, but at the same time that’s a different conversation where we should be talking about mental health issues and perhaps getting single-payer health care to help these people out,” she added.

Morelli’s comments came as she discussed this weekend’s “chaoticNevada Democratic convention.

Sanders, his supporters and a handful of media commentators claim that the Democratic nominating process has been “rigged” in favor of Hillary Clinton.
