More illegal immigrants caught in October-November than in all of 2020

In the latest shocking statistic from America’s southwest border with Mexico, border agents have already apprehended more illegal crossers than in all of fiscal 2020.

According to former immigration court judge Andrew Arthur, the 411,000 illegal immigrants caught crossing in October and November, the start of the fiscal year, also topped those caught in all of fiscal 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

TRUMP SAYS ENDING TITLE 42 WILL DESTROY AMERICA

And it’s just a start, said Arthur, now with the Center for Immigration Studies.

“As bad as these apprehension numbers are, they’re only going to get worse once CDC orders, issued pursuant to Title 42 of the U.S. Code in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, expire,” he said of the plan that has been paused, but not killed, by federal courts.

“In March, DHS estimated that up to 18,000 aliens per day would cross the Southwest border illegally once Title 42 ended. To put that figure into context, agents apprehended an average of 6,875 aliens per day in November, a record-setting month for apprehensions. That means that the number of aliens crossing the border illegally could more than double,” he added.
