Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will tour the U.S.-Mexico border this weekend in California, according to his campaign.
In a press release, the campaign says Huckabee will be visiting the border near San Diego on Saturday, and will be accompanied by former Rep. Duncan Hunter, who served as the chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, along with officials from the National Border Patrol Council.
The border tour will start at the Imperial Beach Border Patrol Station Region, and will conclude with a media availability session.
Huckabee currently sits eighth in the GOP field with only 2.9 support nationally, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average. In addition, the 2008 Iowa caucus winner, currently ranks 12th in the Washington Examiner‘s latest power rankings.
