The U.S. Senate has come to an agreement to pass a $1.1 trillion spending bill, clearing it for President Obama’s signature.
The Senate has been in session all day, voting nonstop on a long list of Obama’s nominees to the executive and judicial branches.
Final passage will follow a vote on a measure offered by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, that would declare unconstitutional Obama’s recent executive action allowing up to 5 million illegal immigrants to obtain work permits and federal benefits.
