SOUTHEAST FLORIDA — Illegal immigrants picked up by state troopers during traffic stops this week are among the first to be moved into “Alligator Alcatraz,” a new state-run federal detention facility in the Everglades.

During a six-hour visit with the Florida Highway Patrol around southeastern Florida, the Washington Examiner had a front-row seat to see how the state was developing its anti-illegal immigration facility to assist the White House’s deportation efforts.
