A newly released video may show the beheadings of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christian workers in Libya, the Associated Press reported Sunday.
The workers were kidnapped in Libya by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in late December and early January, according to reports.
According to Al Jazeera, the Islamic State released the video, showing the 21 hostages in orange jumpsuits being beheaded.
The video, according to Al Jazeera, was titled “A message signed with blood to the nation of the cross” and was purportedly a revenge killing for previous “Muslim women persecuted by Coptic crusaders in Egypt.”
