Donald Trump tweeted on Sunday his support for the victims and families of the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, questioning also the motive of the nightclub shooting in Orlando.
“When will this stop?” Trump tweeted. “When will we get tough, smart & vigilant?”
Horrific incident in FL. Praying for all the victims & their families. When will this stop? When will we get tough, smart & vigilant?

Trump didn’t specifically say that the attack was an act of terrorism. He tweeted earlier Sunday about details of the shooting at Pulse nightclub, a gay bar in Orlando.
Other Republicans have said that it appears to be linked to radical Islam, but so far the motives of the shooter Omar Mateen have not been identified. Mateen’s parents are from Afghanistan, and he was on an FBI watch list but not as a target.
Mateen’s father told NBC News that he doesn’t believe the attack was linked to religion, and that his son was enraged earlier when he saw two men kissing.
