The Department of State on Monday refuted recent reports that the United States’ counterterrorism efforts in Yemen would be affected by the recent political unrest in the country.
Spokesperson Jen Psaki echoed recent comments by the White House and President Obama that U.S. military counterterrorism efforts would proceed as usual, despite the recent turmoil in the country.
President Obama made similar comments over the weekend during his trip to India.
