VIDEO: Press secretary looks ahead to Obama’s Islamic State plan

During his daily press briefing, White House press secretary Josh Earnest gave a preview of what to expect from President Obama‘s press conference on Wednesday.

Earnest said Obama’s main focus “is the safety and security of the American people.”

“There are dozens of individuals with American passports who have traveled to the region and taken up arms to fight along side ISIL,” Earnest said in reference to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, detailing a big concern of Obama’s. “There’s significant concern about the idea that some of these individuals may try to travel back to the West using Western passports and carry out acts of violence or engage in terrorism here.

Obama is set to give a speech on Wednesday.
