After lockdown at Walter Reed, Navy gives ‘all clear’

The Navy has given the ‘all clear’ at the complex housing the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, after reports of a single gunshot turned up no evidence of a shooting, casualties or injuries.

A call came in at 10:48 a.m. Monday reporting that a shot had been fired. Employees were directed to shelter in place while law enforcement swept the area.
