VIDEO — Weekly Examiner: Cuba, Sony and North Korea

The North Korean hack of Sony Pictures brought the multi-billion dollar corporation to its knees this week. Sony canceled the Christmas Day opening of their film “The Interview,” which depicts the assassination attempt of Kim Jong Un, and has no future plans to release the comedy film. President Obama on Friday said Sony made a mistake canceling the release.

The icy relationship the U.S. has with Cuba started to thaw this week with Obama’s announcement Wednesday to ease restrictions and open diplomatic ties with Cuba. The announcement came on the heels of the release of Alan Gross who had been imprisoned in Cuba for five years.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush announced this week that he is “actively exploring the possibility of running for president of the United States.”
