“Terrorism has gone viral,” House Homeland Security Chairman Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said Sunday. “I think there’s been an uptick in the stream of threats out there.”
“It’s going to get worse, not better,” he added. “This is very difficult to stop.”
President Obama’s “administration really hasn’t done enough,” McCaul said.
Obama’s foreign policy created many failed states — states that are “breeding grounds” for terrorist organizations like al Qaeda and the Islamic State to operate.
McCaul warned that Americans should expect attacks similar to the one thwarted at the “Draw Muhammad” cartoon contest in Garland, Texas.
“We’re seeing these directives [from the Islamic State] on almost a daily basis,” McCaul said on “Fox News Sunday.” “It’s very concerning.”
Comparing the current environment to the post-9/11 one, McCaul said: “I think the threat environment today is one of the highest that I’ve ever seen.”
