A pair of Ohio lawmakers have penned a letter highlighting the benefits of moving the NASA headquarters out of Washington, D.C., to Cleveland, arguing it “belongs” to their state.

Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH) and Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) made their case to Vice President JD Vance and NASA Administrator-designate Jared Issacman, citing how Cleveland is already home to the NASA Glenn Research Center. Additionally, the two lawmakers stated that moving the headquarters is in line with the move to decentralize federal agencies in Washington and moving to Ohio would make sense given how their state has become “a critical hub for advanced technology.”
