A Virginia county that boasts the highest concentration of data centers in the country moved to pause new developments for one year, beginning Tuesday.

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors authorized its staff to draft a resolution that would pause data center applications for 12 months. The measure passed in a 7-1-1 vote.
