A new Bloomberg poll released Thursday shows that Rep. Paul Ryan isn’t the most hated Republican on Capital Hill, but he’s close. He comes in third, with a net unfavorability rating that trails former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin – with the most criticism against him stemming from his controversial Medicare proposals which were passed by the GOP-led House on April 15.
Bloomberg didn’t release a partisan breakdown of their survey, but the numbers aren’t very kind to the Wisconsin Republican. By a margin of 57 percent to 34 percent, poll respondents say they would be worse off under Ryan’s plan to restructure Medicare, and 58 percent of independents say they’d be worse off.
