Just like us: Members love Bojangles too

At least two members of Congress were among the throngs of Washingtonians last week who came out for the opening celebration of D.C.’s very first Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits at Union Station.

Reps. Mel Watt, D-N.C., and Sue Myrick, R-N.C., were spotted stopping by the fast food chain, which is headquartered in their home state of North Carolina. Watt placed the restaurant’s first catering order, which was to feed his entire office. About 750 people sampled the chicken Thursday during the soft opening. Rep. Myrick posed for pictures with the restaurant’s aptly-named large chicken mascot, Bojangles.

Bojangles in Union Station officially opened Friday.
