Republicans are divided over their support for Jeb Bush’s run for the 2016 presidential nomination.
Forty-nine percent of potential GOP primary voters say they could see themselves supporting the former Florida governor, versus 42 percent who say they could not back him, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
Despite the devision, other possible Republican candidates have it worse.
Only 32 percent of Republican voters say they could see themselves supporting New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, compared to 57 percent who say they could not.
South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham gets 20 percent of possible support, versus 51 percent no support.
Only 23 percent say they could see themselves supporting real-estate king Donald Trump, versus 74 percent who could not.
The numbers for higher-ranking Republicans, as well as the numbers for Democrats, will be released Monday evening.
The survey of 229 Republican primary overs was conducted March 1-5, with a margin of error of plus or minus 6.5 percentage points.
