Esquire debuts Kagan drinking game

There’s nothing like a good drinking game to break up hours of tedious testimony. Esquire magazine unveiled the Elena Kagan Drinking Game on Monday, to be played alongside her testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The magazine’s editors mix it up, telling players the ingredients needed are liquor, a pot of chamomile tea (“to chill you out”) and prunes (“to keep you regular”). Among the rules: if a senator says “socialism,” that’s a sip of liquor, “New York City,” gets some chamomile tea and if someone says “sh***y deal,” that’s two prunes.

And if anyone brings up softball — participants should throw that bottle of liquor through the TV.
