Even Congress knows to get its work done before the snow hits.
With a snowstorm on the way, Congress agreed to get out of town as soon as possible Wednesday afternoon.
Senate leaders even moved up their vote to override President Obama’s Keystone XL veto due to the inclement weather.

“Is there any way you could change that to 2:20 from 2:30?” Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., asked on the floor. “There are four people who can’t make planes, otherwise.”
The vote failed 62-37 before Congress took off for two days, out of session Thursday and Friday.

The Office of Personnel and Management eventually decided to close the federal government Thursday because of the snowstorm. Though most of the nation’s capital was off of work due to the inclement weather, some members of Congress decided to work anyway.
Even though this much snow is enough to shut down government in DC, my Washington office is still open and working. pic.twitter.com/sRoot1AHwP
