Sarah Palin is slated to be a featured speaker at the Iran nuclear deal rally alongside Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz in Washington on Wednesday, according to the former Alaska governor’s Facebook page.
“What the heck are we even doing ‘negotiating’ with an evil regime hellbent on destruction?” Palin asked in her Sunday Facebook post. “The whole premise of this thing is wrong. It’s a long haul to D.C. for the rally but well worth it to take a stand against this asinine deal the president caved on.”
In addition to Palin, Trump and Cruz, conservative radio hosts Glenn Beck and Mark Levin, along with eight members of Congress and former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore, are set to join the rally, which is being organized by the Tea Party Patriots.
“The broad spectrum of national leaders to speak on September 9th at the Stop the Iran Deal Rally underlines the momentum behind the movement to stop President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran,” Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin said in a statement Tuesday. “Tea Party Patriots and our partners are thrilled to give voice to the millions of Americans who oppose this dangerous nuclear deal with Iran. Every day, more Americans are learning this deal ignores our Constitution by avoiding the treaty process and makes the world a more dangerous place by undermining both our national security and the security of our allies in the Middle East. The Stop the Iran Deal Rally will ensure those millions of voices are heard by everyone inside the U.S. Capitol.”
