Mayor Adrian Fenty showed off his running skills yet again this past weekend, helping his American Odyssey Run Adventure team to a second-place finish. The team raised money for The Wellness Community of Greater Washington D.C.
Fenty was one of 1,300 runners participating in the relay race that left Friday from Gettsyburg, Penn., traveled through Maryland and ended Saturday at the Washington Monument.

Fenty had no problem running the final minutes of his team’s 24-hour-plus race on the Mall, but conceded, “I got lost on my first leg. I was really glad to do the last leg in daytime.” We’re sure being mayor of the city you¹re running through probably didn’t hurt either.
