Anne Frank’s stepsister claims Trump is ‘acting like another Hitler’

Eva Schloss, an 86-year-old Auschwitz survivor and the stepsister of Anne Frank, claims Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is “acting like another Hitler.”

“If Donald Trump become the next president of the U.S. it would be a complete disaster,” Schloss wrote in a recent essay published in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day.

According to Schloss, the New York billionaire is “acting like another Hitler by inciting racism.”

“During his U.S. presidential campaign he has suggested the ‘total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States,’ as well as pledging to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico to keep illegal immigrants out,” she wrote.

Schloss continued, “I remember how upset the world was when the Berlin Wall was erected in 1961. And now everybody is building walls again to keep people out.”

“It’s absurd,” she wrote.

Trump’s opponents and critics have previously likened him to Hitler and described his policy proposals as “fascist.”

Last Thursday, conservative radio personality Glenn Beck, who recently endorsed Trump’s leading opponent, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, for president, said the “populism and nationalism” of Trump’s campaign is a “dangerous combination [and] the makings of Adolf Hitler.”

“Look, we have nothing against Donald Trump as a man. We don’t. It’s just this is a very dangerous combination and I have been warning against it…,” Beck said. “The only other thing you have to add to that — he’s talking about populism and nationalism. If you add socialism — populism, nationalism and socialism, you have the makings of Adolf Hitler.”
