Who’s missing from this pro-Bush super PAC ad?

The leading outside group supporting former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s White House bid appears to have forgotten that the 2016 Republican presidential field features more than just male candidates.

Right to Rise PAC’s latest web-based ad, “Budget Cutter,” claims Bush has the best record of any GOP candidate when it comes to cutting budgets and reducing spending. However, the video leaves out former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina.

Eight Republican hopefuls, each of whom currently poll above 1 percent nationally, are shown at the beginning of the 15-second advertisement. Despite polling at fourth place in the Republican field, according to RealClearPolitics’ primary polling average, Fiorina is noticeably absent from the lineup.

“Who’s toughest on spending?” reads the text positioned over the eight candidates.

“Fox News did the analysis, and Jeb Bush had the best record: Billions in pork vetoed, budgets balanced, and tax cuts every single year,” the ad claims. Fiorina is fourth in the Washington Examiner‘s power rankings while Bush sits fifth.

“Maybe Jeb is just trying to forget the last debate?” Fiorina’s deputy campaign manager, Sarah Isgur Flores, told Breitbart in response to the ad. “Or maybe they can’t read New Hampshire and Iowa polls? Who knows?”

Fiorina currently leads the former Florida governor in both early voting states. The former business executive leads Bush by nearly 4 percentage points in Iowa (10.3–6.7 percent), and almost 5 percentage points in New Hampshire (13.3–8.7 percent), according to RCP polling data.

A spokesperson for Right to Rise did not return the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
