Watch: Clinton in coughing fit during speech

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lost her breath while speaking at a campaign event in West Des Moines, Iowa, on Monday, and fell into a coughing fit that lasted more than a minute.

The 68-year-old was finally able to continue addressing the audience after taking a cough drop, and in a hoarse whisper. The former secretary of state’s assistants did not offer her any assistance, leaving her to try to contain the cough by sipping water and pausing multiple times to get her breath.

Last October, Clinton broke into a coughing fit while testifying before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

But Clinton has remained adamant that her health is good, telling ABC News Saturday, “I’ll match my endurance against anybody.”
