Comedy group Rad Motel released a video Wednesday mashing up facts about Donald Trump with the first song from the musical “Hamilton.”
The video, dubbed “Hamiltrump,” is a parody of the show’s opening number, “Alexander Hamilton,” which features multiple characters listing a series of facts about America’s first treasury secretary in rap form.
In “Hamiltrump,” those facts include the manner in which Trump amassed his fortune, his three marriages, his alleged attraction to his daughter Ivanka and the controversial statements he has made on the campaign trail.
The refrain “in New York, you can be a new man” was changed to “make America great again without a real plan.”
It also features a man dressed as the wall on the Mexican border that Trump says he will build as president and force to Mexico to finance, something that actually happened at a Trump campaign rally earlier this month.
“Hamilton” has been worming its way into politics recently with its ability to bring politicians together from both sides of the aisle in agreement on its quality.
The cast and crew were at the White House earlier this week to perform for the Obamas. Writer and star Lin-Manuel Miranda engaged in a freestyle challenge, rapping about whatever word President Obama held up on a cue card.
