Bernie Sanders’ wife pushed back Saturday against claims that her husband’s proposals are unachievable.
“The Clinton campaign is saying, ‘Lower your sights,'” Jane Sanders said on “Morning Joe,” on MSNBC. “‘Accept less, and don’t have a bold vision for the future.'”
“These so-called ‘liberal’ ideas are ideas that are in place throughout the world,” Sanders continued.
“I mean, college. You should not bankrupt your future in order to get a college education. It’s good for our country to invest in young people,” Sanders said. “These ideas can be carried out if you have a bold leader who wants it.”
“People are hearing that, and realizing that there’s no reason to say, ‘I don’t deserve this,'” Sanders said. “How about America? We want to be first in everything. How about first in high quality of life for the people of this?'”
Nevada votes Saturday in that state’s Democratic caucus.
