Pink, Bette Midler, ‘Modern Family’ coming to HRC dinner

The Human Rights Campaign, the country’s largest GLBT civil rights organization, once again will bring big names into town for its annual dinner in Washington.

Pink and Bette Midler are expected to attend Saturday night’s affair at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Pink will receive the Ally for Equality Award, and Midler will do the honors.

In addition, “Modern Family” cast members Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sofia Vergara will be on hand to accept the National Arts & Culture Award. Lee Daniels and Mo’Nique also are expected to attend.

Last year the HRC dinner attracted President Obama, the cast of “Glee” and Lady Gaga, who has been outspoken on the issue of “don’t ask, don’t tell.

This year’s dinner is sold out.
