Reigning Top Chef Master Marcus Samuelsson had quite a tast when figuring out the menu for President Obama‘s fundraiser at his new eatery Red Rooster in Harlem. “The occasion called for a grandiose menu,” Samuelsson told People Magazine. He also tried to incorporate healthier options, a nod to first lady Michelle Obama‘s healthy eating push.
So what was on the menu? Samuelsson’s own version of poke as well as tacos, crabcakes, lobster salad with spring peas and braised shortribs. Obama really enjoyed the cornbread and tacos, he added.
