A Georgia couple, Harvey and Paula Darden, were trying to get a tour of the White House when they ended up at an invitation-only Veterans Day breakfast with President Obama, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.
The original crashers arrived a day early, and because there were no public tours available, the couple were granted access to the breakfast after being properly screened by Secret Service. So instead of a tour, the two were offered a buffet and a handshake with the president.
