A new piece from Patti Davis — daughter of President Ronald Reagan — in the December issue of “Harper’s Bazaar” is sizing up the spouses of the current GOP candidates rather than the candidates themselves, and Davis has offered some choice words on certain figures on the sidelines of the primary. She pointed out that Ann Romney “has a sense of humor and an innate honesty, and her hair moves in the wind. Maybe she should run.” She also complimented Mary Kaye Huntsman for her “smooth, confident undercurrent,” and Anita Perry for her “Texas feistiness.” Davis also noted Marcus Bachmann for his fabulous fashion sense, writing that “He shops for his wife’s wardrobe, coordinating her outfits so well that Michele Bachmann has bragged about his ‘good sense of style.'” Of those who’ve been conspicuously absent from the campaign trail — Herman Cain‘s wife, Gloria, and Ron Paul‘s wife, Carol — Davis wrote that they “are, I am sure, driving their respective husbands’ advisers crazy with their reluctance to publicly campaign.”
